Experienced botox doctor and trainer Dr John Quinn explains how botox works and demonstrates the popular anti-ageing injection in our latest video.
Quinn Clinics’ founder shows how botox is carried out on a regular anti-wrinkle treatment client.
Botox Demonstration by Dr John Quinn
As a botox trainer, he explains how it works as well as how to get the best out of the treatment, saying:
“This is a treatment that we use to treat dynamic lines mainly in the upper third of the face, so this is a really good treatment for frown lines, for horizontal forehead lines and for lines around the eyes which are called crows feet.”
After a pre-treatment consultation, the skin is cleaned and then marked up using a pencil prior to tiny injections being delivered using extremely fine needles to minimise discomfort. He explains that the drug relaxes the muscles in the areas treated and allows the skin which fits on top of these muscles to smooth out. The balance is between having a nice effect and not looking very treated.
John says:
“As time goes by even more so I advocate a very natural approach to this treatment.”
