Profhilo is a bio-remodelling injectable treatment that uses hyaluronic acid (HA) to improve skin quality, hydration, and tone.

It works by stimulating collagen and elastin production, which helps to address skin laxity and other signs of ageing. Profhilo is not a dermal filler and does not add volume; instead, it remodels the skin’s structure to improve firmness and elasticity.

How does it work?

The objective with Profhilo is not simply to add volume to the skin but, first and foremost, to use the hydrating qualities of hyaluronic acid to retain water within the skin, boosting its quality and condition for a soft, dewy glow. However, in doing so, there are exciting longer-term benefits, as Profhilo can achieve remodelling of ageing and sagging skin tissue for a younger look.

Profhilo lasts around 28 days in the skin. During this time, the slow release of hyaluronic acid stimulates different types of collagen and elastin within the skin, improving the tissues that give the skin its structure and texture. Profhilo can have a significant tightening/lifting effect on the skin.

Does it Hurt?
Profhilo treatment uses a very fine needle so you should not be able to feel too much.

We do offer numbing in advance if discomfort is a concern.

When will I see results?
Improvement in the condition and radiance of your skin can normally be seen after a couple of days.

The skin remodelling benefits take longer, as your body is stimulated to produce additional collagen in the treatment area. This is normally visible by 4 weeks and can take up to 8 weeks to fully develop into your final result.

Does it Look Natural?
Yes, Profhilo treatment is a very good choice for clients who want a result that looks natural.

The effects build up gradually, so there is less of an obvious immediate result.

The hydration adds a flattering dewy radiance to your skin while the skin remodelling and lifting is as a result of your skin having more collagen, therefore a natural-looking result.

Is There Any Downtime?
As an injectable treatment, you may find some initial swelling or bruising caused by the injections. However, we use a super-fine needle, which minimises this. Any blemishes will be short term and easily covered with mineral make-up.
