CDS – cosmeceutical delivery system
The unique LASEMD system incorporates the unique integrated CDS (Cosmeceutical Delivery System) which works to create a series of tiny and precise micro-channels in the skin in a controlled manner, into which sophisticated cosmeceutical agents are introduced that accelerate the self-healing of the skin from the inside.
Due to their low absorption rate, conventional cosmetics find it difficult to build up the skin whereas LaseMD ™ offers an optimized solution. This is a way of administering a cosmeceutical compound into the skin where it can be of benefit thanks to the enhanced penetration of the products.
Cosmeceutical Options
The high-quality ingredients are introduced directly into the skin through the resulting microchannels. A choice of intensive formulations is available, according the individual’s skin requirements.
Vitamin C
Ascorbic acid or Vitamin C is one of the strongest naturally occurring antioxidants. Used to protect and reduce the signs of sun damage, this is a key ingredient for any anti-ageing regime. is . Can encourage younger healthier skin by stimulating and strengthening collagen fibres. It also helps to rejuvenate sun damaged skin.
Vitamin A
Vitamin A, specifically retinoic acid, is proven to naturally improve the signs of ageing. It works by stimulating the epidermal basal layer karatinocytes to differentiate into mature and healthy epidermal cells.
Tranexamic Acid (TA)
Tranexamic Acid is used to help wound recovery after plastic surgery, so has clinically proven benefits. It also brightens skin and can therefore be used to help pigmentation including melasma.
RESVERATROL
95% Resveratrol combined with hyaluronic acid – an intense formulation which helps to prevent UV-related skin carcinogenesis and photoaging.
LaseMD FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
CLOSED STATE
Does it hurt?
LASEMD is generally a comfortable treatment. It does not require anaesthetic.
Is there any downtime or recovery period?
This non-ablative treatment has ‘no downtime’ as it works without damaging the surface. Depending on the treatment, most patients can resume their normal activities the following day.
However, despite the lack of downtime, LASEMD achieves remarkable results thanks to the technology, which incorporates a Thilium fibre-based laser for stable and accurate treatment.
What about aftercare?
Aftercare advice is dependent on the procedure carried out. Don’t worry, you will be given full advice on aftercare in your consultation, before deciding whether or when to go ahead.
How does a fractional laser work?
Fractional Thulium treatment produces thousands of deep, tiny columns in your skin, called microscopic treatment zones (mtz).
Who carries out this treatment?
Is LaseMD non-ablative?
This treatment is non-ablative, which means it preserves the surface of your skin intact therefore not causing any downtime.
LaseMD intensively treats only some of the epidermal cells without affecting all of them. This method of fractionally treating the skin reduces healing time and promotes the skin’s natural process for creating new, healthier tissue to replace the damaged cells.
