How does it feel? 

How it works

Laser Genesis is a near-infrared (NIR) Nd:YAG laser with a wavelength of 1064-nm. Treatment works by gently heating the dermis (internal layer of the skin), which is located below the skin’s surface.

Studies have proven that NIR irradiation is efficient for skin rejuvenation due to its ability to provide long-lasting stimulation of elastin. It will also increase the amount of collagen, resulting in clinically improved skin tone and texture. Elastin is a highly elastic protein found within the connective tissue layer underneath the skin surface. This protein is what helps the skin to resume its shape after stretching or contracting. Along with elastin, you’ll find collagen in the connective tissue as well. Collagen is a structural protein that gives skin its strength and firmness.

Additionally, the thermal energy of Laser Genesis targets the tiny vessels and capillaries that are the cause of persistent skin redness, such as with conditions like rosacea. By breaking down these vessels, blood that is trapped under the surface of the skin dissipates, which reduces overall redness.
