Tracy-Louise Appleyard is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Bristol.

Initially qualifying as a GP she later trained further to become a Consultant in O&G and has worked at NBT since 2011. Her interests include management of menstrual disturbance, contraception, cervical disease, pelvic pain and issues surrounding the perimenopause and menopause.

Within her NHS post she works within the nationally accredited endometriosis service and is Lead Clinician for colposcopy and the diagnostic service for gynaecological oncology.

Her aims are to optimise health through a holistic approach using evidence based practice.

She offers support and expert advice to women through all stages of their life considering all available treatments through a shared decision-making with time allowed to discuss.

CURRENT NHS POSITION

Miss Appleyard holds an NHS Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist post at North Bristol NHS Trust, Southmead Hospital.

She is the lead for gynaecology oncology diagnosis and colposcopy.

She is also the Consultant Advisor (Army) for obstetrics and gynaecology.

PERSONAL PROFILE

Tracy-Louise Appleyard is a new enthusiast for triathlon and can be found running, cycling and swimming in various guises around the region

She has specialist skills in gynaecological ultrasound and laparoscopic (minimal access surgery) and colposcopy as an accredited trainer with the BSCCP.
