What happens to our bodies during pregnancY

Pregnancy hormones and abdominal stretching are the main causes of loose skin after pregnancy. During pregnancy, your body produces a special hormone called Relaxin. This relaxes ligaments in your abdomen to create more space for the baby to grow. However, it can lead to loose skin post-pregnancy.

A common occurrence following pregnancy is a condition called diastasis recti, or separation of the connective tissue that holds the parallel rectus abdominis muscle tightly together to accommodate the growing baby.

It’s estimated that two-thirds of women experience this separation by the final trimester, and studies show that about 40% of women have diastasis recti at six months postpartum.

If you suspect you may be experiencing diastasis recti, we have an incredible Gold standard treatment, ‘EMSculpt NEO’ which can help to strengthen the muscle fibre, making it stronger and tighter.

One study showed a statistically significant average 18.6% reduction of adipose tissue thickness, 15.4% increase in rectus abdominis muscle thickness, and 10.4% reduction in rectus abdominus separation (diastasis recti) following a course of treatments.

Stretch Marks

We have several FDA-approved treatments that we can use to treat stretch marks. This treatment works by emitting safe thermal waves into the skin, which heat certain cells. This helps to tighten skin, minimise fat cells, and stimulate collagen fibres, leading to better skin texture and laxity.
