Deep Fractional Remodelling

Combining Microneedling & Radiofrequency

Quinn Clinics is delighted to be the first clinic in Bristol to offer Morpheus8 – a ground-breaking treatment based on advanced technology, which combines micro-needling and radiofrequency for superior skin tightening, lifting and contouring.

Morpheus8 is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that can achieve remarkable results in anti-ageing, lifting and tightening loose skin. The treatment can be used to transform the face and body areas, promoting a smoother, more contoured, lifted and more youthful appearance.

How does Morpheus8 work?

Using a process known as micro-needling, Morpheus8 uses a matrix of 24 thin gold-coated micro pins to deliver radiofrequency (RF) energy deep into your skin, creating micro lesions that trigger your body’s natural healing response and promote production of new collagen and elastin, to firm and remodel skin.

The advanced lattice micro-needling design creates a uniform effect with little to no thermal damage to epidermis.

What can be treated?

Morpheus8 can be used to treat a wide range of skin concerns, including:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Skin laxity (loose or sagging skin) on the face, neck and body
  • Acne scarring
  • Stretch marks
  • Subdermal and dermal remodelling of facial areas such as cheeks, nasolabial folds, neck, and jowls

Treatment Areas

  • Facial areas including around the eye area
  • Under the chin and tightening jawline
  • Body areas including abdomen

What's special about the technology?

Morpheus8 harnesses the most powerful and deepest subdermal Fractional micro-needling Radio Frequency (RF) technology. The microneedles can go deeper than any other radiofrequency micro-needling device available.

The microneedling is delivered through 24 coated pins which target the subdermal tissues and fat to tighten and rejuvenate the area.

Is it safe?

Morpheus8 is designed to minimise any damage to your dermis. It delivers uniform results for all skin types. By delivering the radiofrequency energy through micro-needling channels, much of the surface of the skin itself is left, reducing the risks of damage.

This also reduces the potential risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which can be a problem with some of the older resurfacing techniques.

Morpheus8 is FDA approved in USA as a treatment to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin tone and texture, and tighten areas of skin laxity on the face.

Does it hurt?

There is minimal discomfort involved with Morpheus8.

During treatment, the microneedles penetrate the skin very quickly to deliver the radiofrequency energy. This minimises exposure.

Depending on the area being treated, we can use numbing cream and/or local anaesthetic injections to ensure the procedure remains comfortable throughout.

We sometimes prescribe Orla medication for nervous patients. Your comfort is a major priority for us, as a doctor led clinic.

When will I see results?

Initial results can be seen within a few days after the treatment. However, it takes a little longer for your body to produced new collagen and elastin, so the tightening, lifting and smoothing starts to be visible at 3-4 weeks. Improvements continue for 2-3 months to fully develop into your final result.

Are there any side-effects?

Your skin may feel tight after treatment and you can expect some redness and peeling in the following days, like mild sunburn. This can last up to a week.

Some patients have slight swelling or bruising for a few days.

After a few days, you will probably notice a series of marks where the needles delivered the radiofrequency. Avoid touching these, but you can cover them with makeup after the first day.

What aftercare guidelines apply?
Does it look natural?

Yes, Morpheus8 treatment is a very good choice for clients who want a result that looks natural.

The skin remodelling and lifting is as a result of your skin having more collagen and elastin, therefore a natural-looking result which develops gradually rather than instantly.

Is There Any Downtime?
This depends on the area. You can expect some redness and swelling for a couple of days. There may also be some bruising (especially around the eyes if we target that area). On the body, redness will last a few days.
How many sessions will I need?
Typically 2 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Some patients will have a third.
How often is it repeated?
Results are long lasting. This treatment stimulates mature collagen. Most patients will consider a ‘top up’ session every year
