As Bristol is now starting another 4 week lockdown period, we’ve had a number of enquiries from our clients as to whether we’ll be closing during this time.
The good news is that unlike the previous lockdown, this time around medical clinics like ourselves are able to remain open.
Quinn Clinics is a doctor-owned clinic which is fully registered with the CQC (Care Quality Commission), which requires us to meet a series of high clinical standards.
What treatments are available?
As a CQC registered, medical clinic, we remain open, in a very limited capacity, for specific doctor provided, medical treatment only.
We offer a range of doctor-led skin and laser treatments which are of a medical nature and these are able to continue for the foreseeable future.
Clients who are having concerns of a medical nature are able to continue treatment or arrange a consultation. This may include issues such as:
- Acne
- Acne scarring
- Excessive sweating – primary focal hyperhidrosis
- Facial redness
- Gummy Smile
- Rosacea
- Scars
- Sun damage
- Visible veins
We are also able to continue review appointments with our Aesthetic Doctors.
This list is not exhaustive and of course the situation is subject to change in line with further shift in national and local restrictions. If in doubt, please do contact our clinic for more information or to discuss your particular concern.
What treatments are not available?
We will not be able to offer therapist-led facials or treatments until lockdown restrictions ease. Although our medical facials are high tech, intensive and effective treatments; they are not led by medically qualified persons and therefore they are temporarily withdrawn.
In addition, our doctors will not be offering medical cosmetic treatments such as lip filler or dermal filler contouring treatments during the lockdown period.
We plan to reintroduce all of these when the current lockdown lifts, hopefully the first week in December.
What to expect when you come to see us
We are delighted to be able to continue offering medical consultations and treatments at our clinic. The safety of our patients and staff remains paramount.
We have thought about every step of your journey with us and put in place a series of hygiene and social distancing measures in order to minimise the risk of coronavirus infection. This short video was prepared in summer to explain what to expect when you visit our CQC registered medical clinic.
- All your paperwork will be sent via email. Please complete it before you come to see us
- Call on arrival – we will let you know when to come to the front door
- We will meet you at the front door and check your temperature
- Hand sanitising gel is available in clinic – please use it on arrival and whenever you are asked to or wish to repeat sanitisation
- Please arrive wearing a mask and do not wear makeup. Please visit unaccompanied
- Your practitioner will be wearing appropriate PPE
- Our waiting room is not operational for the moment – you’ll be taken straight to the consultation or treatment room
- Toilets are also out of use
- Payment by card or bank transfer to avoid cash handling
- Full details will be sent to you by email, prior to your appointment
