Quinn Clinics in Bristol has introduced a hi-tech 3D camera which is now used in many skin consultations, adding incredible insight and detail into understanding of the patient’s skin and facial anatomy.
This advanced camera technology takes a three-dimensional photograph of the patient’s face and neck which can then be assessed by the doctor in great detail.
For the patient, it is invaluable to see the whole face and neck in precise detail from every angle. In doing so, many patients understand how the aesthetics of their face work. Often the concerns that they present with – such as a specific line or crease – become part of a bigger picture, having seen the whole context of the face.
Use of the 3D camera allows the doctor and patient to agree a treatment plan which is very precisely targeted in terms of where dermal filler will be most of value to lift and rejuvenate the skin. In advanced filler techniques, it is possible to use filler not just to replenish volume and fill out lines, but also to create a ‘lifting’ effect, rejuvenating the facial tissues and providing a firmer-looking jawline.
Where treatment has taken place, 3-dimensional before and after photographs record the result and show very clearly the benefit of treatment. The results can also be recorded for future reference.
The 3D camera is a significant investment for the clinic, costing over £10k, but a price worth paying for the visibility that it gives the doctor and patient, which in turn means a better service and an excellent result.
The 3D camera is available exclusively in Quinn Clinics’ Bristol skin clinic (based in Clifton).
In-Depth Skin Consultation
While some practitioners are inclined to move quickly onto dispensing treatment, at Quinn Clinics, the consultation is considered to be fundamental to the whole process.
The consultation process includes essential review of relevant medical history, areas of concern (with examination) and discussion of previous treatments; before proceding to discuss suitable treatment plans and providing prices. Dr John Quinn personally carries out skin consultations for the doctor-led skin treatments held at the Bristol clinic in order to provide advice from a medical as well as aesthetic perspective.
Quinn Clinics was established in 2006 and offers a full range of cosmetic, medical and laser skin treatments at its two clinics.
As well as anti-ageing cosmetic injections performed by the clinic’s owner and founder, Dr John Quinn, the clinic can offer the latest laser technology including IPL, laser, CO2 fractional laser and radiofrequency treatment.
