Pelleve Skin Rejuvenation Treatment
Pelleve is a non invasive facial rejuvenating treatment that uses a technology called radiofrequency to tighten the skin.
It is a nonsurgical treatment, delivered through a handpiece. There are no injections and it is relatively painless for the patient.
Radiofrequency heats the deep layers of the skin, leaving the top layer intact. This produces tightening and stimulation of collagen with minimal to no downtime.
Pelleve is the perfect treatment for patients seeking subtle, global rejuvenation with minimal discomfort and downtime. Radiofrequency technology has been around for many years.
What is it used for?
Pelleve may be used anywhere on the face but is particularly useful in the area around the eyes and also to tighten the jawline.
It is an excellent choice for needle phobic patients.
What happens during the treatment?
Your practitioner delivers the radiofrequency treatment through a handheld device which looks like a wand. The tip of this device is gently passed over the surface of the skin. It has been described as similar to a hot stone massage.
Unlike other skin tightening treatments, Pelleve does not require anaesthesia or skin cooling. The treatment takes anything from 15 minutes up to an hour depending on the size of the area being treated.
What are the side effects?
Some patients experience mild swelling and redness which may last for 2-24 hours after the treatment.
What does it cost?
Prices start from £600 per area of the face. Often more than one treatment is required to achieve the desired result.
What else should I consider
Pelleve is an excellent skin rejuvenation procedure on its own. However, it can also be combined with BOTOX® wrinkle-relaxing injections or dermal fillers for a more complete facial rejuvenation.
