Thin lips

Some people are naturally born with thin lips while for others, they  tend to develop with age, due to the natural depletion of collagen in the lips.

Yet fuller lips are considered to be more youthful and desirable.

If you suffer from thin lips, you may feel it affects their functionality as well as the appearance. Perhaps you feel that they lack substance and are conscious of them rollinw inwards when you speak or drink (or kiss!).

Thin lips don’t only lack fullness, but also colour, as they are less visible. They can lack definition and shape too. This is especially felt in the top lip as the skin over your top gums feels stretched downward and inwards.

Lips that are thin can also look uneven and flat due to the lack of volume and projection. Due to the skin being stretched at the lips, it can also result in the formation of early wrinkle lines around the mouth.

If left untreated it’s not uncommon to hear patients who tell of feeling embarrassed, not as confident in their skin when meeting new people and not being able to feel as feminine or attractive as they would like to be.

Treatments for Thin Lips

The good news is that thin lips are relatively easy to treat, as the latest generation of lip fillers can help to restore the fullness and volume of your lips.

Our medically-qualified practitioners only use top-branded dermal fillers such as Juvederm®. The treatment is fast and effective in helping to volumise the lips for a lovely result.

The fillers work by adding additional volume into the skin where it has become depleted. This plumps out the creases and lines to produce smoother skin.
