Reverse time with an Upper Blepharoplasty At Quinn Clinics

We are excited to welcome the talented Miss Rebecca Ford to our team who will offer Upper Blepharoplasty Eye Surgery at our new minor operating theatre at QC headquarters in Redland.

As we age, one of the most noticeable changes occurs around our eyes. The upper eyelids may begin to droop, creating a tired, aged, or even angry appearance. In some cases, excess skin can interfere with vision. Upper Blepharoplasty might be the solution if you’re looking for a way to refresh your appearance and regain a more youthful, alert look.

What Is Upper Blepharoplasty?

Upper blepharoplasty—also known as an eyelid lift—is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin, fat, and sometimes muscle from the upper eyelids. The goal is to restore a more open, rested, and youthful eye contour while maintaining the eyes’ natural shape. It is a safe and effective treatment for improving the appearance of tired eyes that many of our patients desire.

An upper Blepharoplasty may be right if you suffer from the following:

  • Droopy or sagging upper eyelids
  • Notice excess skin hanging over your eyelid crease
  • Experience visual obstruction due to eyelid skin
  • Feeling that your eyes make you look tired or older than you feel

WHERE WOULD THE PROCEDURE BE CARRIED OUT?  We have a new minor operating theatre at QC, which means the procedure can be carried out locally and comfortably without visiting a hospital.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE SURGERY?  Blepharoplasty surgery is usually performed under local anaesthetic, meaning you are awake during the procedure. This makes the surgery very safe and promotes a fast recovery.  The surgeon makes precise incisions along the upper eyelid’s natural crease, and excess skin, fat, and sometimes a small amount of muscle are carefully removed or repositioned. The incision is then closed with fine sutures to minimise scarring, which typically fades well over time.

Recovery is generally quick. Here’s a timeline of what to expect:

First 1–3 days: Swelling, bruising, and mild discomfort are common. Cold compresses and head elevation can help.

Week 1: Stitches are usually removed, and most patients return to light activities.

Weeks 2–4: Swelling and bruising continue to resolve. Makeup can usually be worn after the first week.

1–3 months: Final results become more apparent as swelling subsides.

Upper blepharoplasty is a transformative procedure with both cosmetic and functional benefits. If you’re looking to restore a more youthful appearance or improve your field of vision, this eyelid surgery can be a life-changing step toward looking and feeling your best. When considering an Upper Blepharoplasty, it’s important to do your research and choose an experienced surgeon to carry out your procedure. This is why we are delighted to welcome Miss Rebecca Ford to our surgical team. a talented and renowned Oculoplastic Surgeon with over 15 years of experience.
