Skin type is a surprisingly complex area. It encompasses not only the tone or coloration of your skin, but also the texture, considering how the skin ‘zones’ into dry and oily area. In terms of cosmeceutical skincare, we can also assess any evidence of premature ageing such as fine lines, wrinkles, dullness and age spots. These can be heavily influenced by lifestyle factors such as smoking and sun exposure.
Skin Analysis
The best way of understanding your skin type is to have a professional skin analysis.
At Quinn Clinics’ City Centre Medispa in Bristol (inside Harvey Nichols), we offer clients an in depth skin analysis using the Visia 3D system. This gives incredible insight into the condition and health of the skin, highlighting issues such as redness and sun damage as well as hydration and lines/wrinkles.
It’s a unique opportunity to understand your skin in a very visual way, as the system produces a series of images to highlight areas of concern.
The skin analysis process includes a consultation with our skin experts and delivers our clients with a tailor-made skincare recommendation.
Once you’ve had a 3D VISIA facial scan, we can record the results and compare them at future appointments to see your progress. Skin regimes do need adjusting over time as your skin adapts. You can work up to higher concentrations once your skin is ready or may find that certain problems are simply eliminated altogether.
Regular skin consultations and analysis sessions are the best way to see the change and work out how to best develop your regime for even better results.

The fee for a full 3D Skin Analysis is £25, which is then discounted against purchases of the recommended skincare products or facial treatments.
