No Sweat! Powerful Hyperhidrosis Injections

Excessive sweatingIf you’ve struggled in the heat recently, then you’re not alone. As Brits swelter in the latest heatwave, many also struggle with the embarrassment of increased sweating.

Let’s face it, those wet patches that can appear on clothing under the arms are embarrassing for all concerned.  A great many people suffer from excessive sweating from time to time and unsurprisingly, it gets even worse during hot weather; although for some people, the problem can strike in any weather and at any time of year.

We all know that sweating is a natural bodily function. Perspiration cools the skin as it evaporates. It’s how your body maintains a correct temperature. That’s why we sweat more on warm days, in over-heated rooms or while exercising; as the body is sweating more in order to cool itself.

Sweating can also be a response to stress or pressure. Those in a work environment will know the tell-tale signs of a stressful meeting can quite often be seen on someone’s shirt. The fear of an interview can be made even worse by concern about whether sweating will be noticeable. Big occasion? Even A-listers have been spotted with underarm circles on their designer dresses.

For those that suffer from “hyperhidrosis”, or excessive sweating, the problem can occur without any particular reason. Sufferers find that their clothing is quite often damp even on cooler days with no stress or other external situation to explain the difficulty.

Where excessive sweating causes regular embarrassment, then there is now a potential treatment that could help.

Excessive Sweating Injection Treatment

Effective sweat reduction treatment is available which can solve the problem of excessive sweating or hyperhidrosis.

Treatment involves a series of tiny BOTOX injections into the armpit and underarm area. The BOTOX (botulinum toxin) works by blocking the nerves responsible for activating your sweat glands. Normally, your nervous system activates your sweat glands when your body temperature rises. This is how your body automatically cools itself. In people with hyperhidrosis, however, the nerves that signal the sweat glands are overactive.

Treatment works surprisingly quickly. Many patients report that the perspiration starts to dry up on the same day with the full impact building over a few days. Some don’t even need antiperspirant!

The International Hyperhidrosis Society say that underarm BOTOX injections can reduce underarm sweating by 82–87%, leaving just a tiny fraction of the moisture.

Results of treatment are not permanent, but they can be expected to last for a few months, after which treatment can be repeated if required.
