No Sweat this Christmas – Hyperhidrosis Treatment

partiesThe Christmas party season is just ahead… But if you suffer from excessive sweating, you’ll know that nothing spoils that party dress or shirt like damp armpit stains.

It may be winter, but if you’re one of the many who still find themselves sweating uncomfortably, then you may have a condition known as hyperhidrosis.

This is a surprisingly common problem, yet it is something which can cause extreme embarrassment. Excessive sweating in the underarms can quickly spoil clothing and make a person feel very self-conscious.

Special occasions can become quite worrying, trying to choose clothing which won’t ‘show’ sweaty patches.  Yet the combination of being out at a party in a warm environment and worrying about sweat can actually make it worse.

Hyperhidrosis sufferers have usually tried a range of strong antiperspirants, yet even the stronger and longer lasting types won’t stop the problem.

Excessive Sweating Injections

There is another solution for tackling problem sweat. Sweat reduction injections are chosen by many people in the public eye to give them dry armpits for months at a time – and also give them the confidence and peace of mind to enjoy going out without worrying about how they look.

Sweat reduction treatment involves a series of carefully administered BOTOX® injections into the armpit area.

These block the nerve signals in the area which stops the sweat glands from working.  Sweat in the area dries up in a matter of days, so hyperhidrosis injections are a surprisingly fast and effective solution to excessive sweating.

Treatment can last between 4-12 months depending on the person and is then simply replenished if necessary.

This treatment must be carried out by a skilled and experienced Doctor.

Dr John Quinn at Quinn Clinics offers the treatment at his Bristol skin treatment clinic based in Clifton.
