Radara – A Micro-Channelling Revolution in Skincare
The awards write-up on aestheticsawards.com reads as follows:
“Radara is the world’s first micro-channelling skincare product, representing a new category of skin rejuvenation to restore skin quality and diminish signs of ageing around the eyes. Aesthetic patients increasingly look for effective at-home products to enhance and maintain the results of their other treatments. Radara was created to deliver a new innovation for this market – bridging the gap between aesthetic treatments and high-quality, effective skin maintenance regimes.
“Radara is UK-designed, developed and manufactured. Unlike traditional microneedling which can cause significant pain, bleeding and downtime, Radara offers a gentle yet effective approach to skin rejuvenation. The ultra-thin, flexible patches are created using a patented 3-D printing process, coating them with microscopic plastic structures (similar to needles) less than 0.5mm long. These painlessly create thousands of tiny micro-channels in the skin, allowing the HA serum to penetrate to the deeper layers and restore natural elasticity, hydration and support. Radara offers something for every aesthetic patient – irrespective of age, ethnicity and current treatment profile.
“Radara was official launched onto the UK market in November 2015, prior to which we worked with a panel of the UK’s leading practitioners to refine and develop the product concept, positioning and to determine best practice usage. The panel were impressed with the technological innovation, safe and effective results and broad potential applications for Radara and subsequently became brand ambassadors – leading the way by becoming the flagship clinics for Radara.
“Radara had a hugely successful launch, achieving blanket trade media coverage as well as significant national press. Over 2,000 boxes have been ordered since the launch and Radara is stocked in hundreds of clinics throughout the UK, including London’s prestigious Harley Street area. We have also been actively approached by US, Asian and European markets to begin exporting and launching in these new areas as well.”
Quinn Clinics based in Bristol and London was one of the first UK clinics to stock Radara. It is still the only clinic in the South West and one of only 5 in London according to www.radara.co.uk.
The clinic reports that interest in the at-home treatment for rejuvenating the eye area is strong, with website traffic up 50% in November 2016 vs the previous month.
