In our latest YouTube video, Dr John Quinn explains skin resurfacing, which can be used to treat fine lines, sun damage and acne scarring on the face.

Skin Resurfacing Options and Recovery/Downtime
Quinn Clinics offer a series of options for skin resurfacing, offering a choice of how gentle or aggressive the requirements are.
The more aggressive treatments will have longer redness and swelling after treatment as they are more extensive treatments.
The most gentle option is micro-needling, which has no real social down time. Patients can expect to look pink and ‘sunburned’ for up to 24 hours.
Next up is fractional radio frequency, which involves redness of 4-5 days with 1-2 days of swelling. Most patients return to normal activities after about 3 days.
Fractional CO2 resurfacing using the CORE CO2 machine is for the most aggressive treatment requirements and has a downtime of around a week. Most patients won’t leave the house for around 5 days.
Treatments can be tailored to suit individual patient requirements and are planned around occasions and commitments.
