Brotox is the nickname given to male BOTOX® treatments and this has previously been reported as one of the fastest sectors of the non-surgical treatments market.

The American Association of Plastic Surgeons statistics show +337% increase in men having BOTOX® (botulinum toxin injections) between 2010 to 2014.

According to Harpers Bazaar, men in the City are increasingly having dermal fillers and Botox due to high pressured careers. The injectable treatments enable them to keep a calm ‘finance face’ and a more youthful look in a bid to help “increase the longevity of [men’s] successful and respected careers”.

BOTOX® for Men

A good practitioner will always adjust treatment to suit the individual and there are some fundamental differences between male and female treatments.

The consistency of men’s skin is different from that of women and requires a different approach. In addition, the inherent maleness of their face shape and something that most men would wish to be preserved:

  • Strong, wide or blunt chin/jawline with more angular corners
  • Thicker, flatter eyebrows
  • Flatter forehead
  • Broader nose
  • Less defined cheekbones

BOTOX® and dermal fillers can sculpt and lift the face as well as rejuvenate it and it is important that the practitioner injects appropriately for the patient.
